Step 1: Install Bit Form And Activate The Plugin 

At first, you have to install a form builder plugin on your WordPress site. You can choose Bit Form, as this plugin has advanced features and customization options. Besides, this plugin provides 40+ drag-and-drop form fields, which makes your task easier.

Anyway, let’s get back to the process of making the form. Once you have installed the form, activate it and go to the “Bit Form” plugin home. 

Step 2: Click On “Create Form” 

Now, click on the “Create Form” button on the Bit Form dashboard.

Step 3: Drag Relevant Fields 

Now, you can find multiple fields on the sidebar. You can see a sidebar on the left side. From there, you can drag any field and place it anywhere in your form. Besides, there is a field setting on the right side. Here, you can change the labels of your fields, add values to your dropdown options, and customize form fields in your preferred way. 

However, I have dragged the “First Name” button and changed its label to “Company Name”. You can see the changed version in the picture below: 

Next, I have added the following fields-  Company name, email, company size, a description box of “Tell Us More About Your Goals, and a dropdown option of “How Did You Find Out About Us”. Well, you might wonder how to change the label name in the dropdown option list. You have to click on “Active Options” and change the label name to suitable channels. 

Here, I have added Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, and Google Search to the option list. You can see the dropdown option list in the picture below: 

Step 4: Add GDPR Compliance Box

You can also add a GDPR compliance box using the Bit Form plugin. Just search for GDPR in the search bar and drag it to the desired position. You can edit the GDPR compliance box text through the field settings. Just click on the label option and change the text. 

I have also added a “Decision Box” under the GDPR compliance by which I take the customer’s consent to send them engaging content via email.

Step 5: Add Elements And Layers 

Now, it is time to make the lead capture form more engaging. To style the form, go to the “elements and layers” tab. Now, you can see a bunch of options available on the left side to design the form in a flexible way. 

In particular, you can use “Theme Quick Tweaks” to apply the changes to the whole form. On the other hand, there is also the “Individual Elements” option. Through this option, you can change the color or font of individual texts. 

Well, I have changed the form’s background color and accent, as you can see in the picture below:

Step 6: Update The Form and Publish It 

Now, you can click on the Update > Publish button. 

Step 7: Add the Short Code and Review Your Form 

When you click on publish, you can see a shortcode pop up. Now, you have to copy the shortcode.

Further, paste it into your WordPress post section through the block option. Now, click on the “Save” button and preview your form.
