Setup Save Draft Button

With the use of this feature, you have the ability to provide visitors with an option to draft their form entries. This is especially helpful when dealing with longer forms, as users can conveniently save their progress and submit the form at a later time.

  1. To begin, you will need to either create a form from scratch or utilize an existing form.
  2. Next, locate the “Draft Button” on the left sidebar by using the search box.
  3. Simply drag and drop the “Draft Button” field onto your form.
  4. Congratulations! You have successfully added the button to your form, and you can now conveniently save form entries by clicking on the button.

If you want to repopulate the drafted data, you must enable the Repopulate form fields with the previous partial entries option from the form Form Abandonment setting.

In the demo video below, I first went to the form settings, navigated to Form Abandonment, and enabled both “Repopulate form fields with previous partial entry” and “Save draft when the user leaves the form page.” Then, I added the Draft button to the form in the form builder. Afterward, I visited a page where I had embedded this form, filled in some of the fields, and then browsed other pages on my demo site. When I returned to the page with the form, all the fields I had previously filled were repopulated, even after reloading the form.
